I have it already installed in a test environment. So far there are few minor problems during install process, GUI and API.
First impression is that it is working much faster compared to 0.71a
About the recording - HTML player is not supporting "seek" so once you start the recorded stream you can only pause it.
Still testing...

Hi Tiho,
Can you post any problems you encountered to http://groups.google.com/group/bigbluebutton-setup/topics?gvc=2. We'd like to know the details so we can fix.
> HTML player is not supporting "seek"
You should be able to seek back and forth on the timeline using Firefox and Chrome. Support for IE and Safari are coming in an update to the beta next week.

I notice desktop sharing has been removed. Will this feature return?
Hi Frankie,
What do you mean "removed"?
It is still there. It is slow the first time (Java needs to load) but it is there and working.
Cheers,
-Tiho
Only the presenter will see the desktop sharing icon.
Make yourself presenter first, then you should be able to share your desktop.

Hi Tomek,
Can you post to bigbluebutton-setup at http://groups.google.com/group/bigbluebutton-setup/topics?gvc=2.
We'll help you there.
When will the joomla integration for BBB 0.8 be available?
> When will the joomla integration for BBB 0.8 be available?
It will available sometime after the release of 0.8.
We still have work ahead of us to finish 0.8.
